Psalm 145:11 (ESV)

11 They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom and tell of your power,

In Psalm 145:1 God was called King, and now the whole world is called upon to recognize this kingship. We need to see the missionary perspective here, which was already present in the Old Testament. And now it is the task of the church in the New Testament to ensure that God’s name is honoured everywhere in the world. But the thought of honouring God right across the whole world was surely present in the Old Testament. In these verses we find the same thought as, for example, in Psalm 19:1–14, namely that creation itself is already proclaiming God’s greatness (see also Romans 1:19–21).
