What is significant about the Lamb having seven eyes?

Revelation 5:6 (ESV)

6 And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

A fullness of eyes indicates that nothing escapes the attention of this victorious Lamb. These seven eyes are further defined as “the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.” We had earlier met the “seven spirits” in Revelation 1:4, where the term was a reference to the Holy Spirit. This Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9), who misses nothing no matter where one hides (Psalm 139:7–12).
