Glory denotes the visible manifestation of God’s self-disclosure in a theophany (Exodus 33:22; Deuteronomy 5:22). Jesus’ glory was displayed in his signs (John 2:11; John 11:4, John 11:40), though he was supremely glorified in his death and exaltation (John 7:39; John 12:16, John 12:23; John 13:31–32).1
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
