Psalm 105 and Psalm 116
There are a number of psalms that would be especially appropriate for singing with a sermon from Joshua 16–17. Psalm 105:1–45 recounts the history of Joseph in Egypt (Psalm 105:12–25) and would be a good song to sing before the sermon. Psalm 116:1–19 conveys the response that God’s people are to make to their salvation, obedience, and commitment to honour God. This would be a good song to sing after the sermon—an encouragement to live in the light of God’s promises.
