The heart of the wise hungers for true knowledge of the Lord and of all that He provides for us. Such a heart seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness is filled with that which it seeks, and all other good things in addition (Matthew 6:33). But note that one should seek actively. The heart receives only that which the ear hears and the hand seeks. Therefore, we should focus our senses on the means of God’s grace, especially tuning our ears to seek the faithful preaching of God’s Word, along with godly conversation.
