What does Joshua 21:43–45 reveal about what God does in my place and on my behalf (the work of the Son)? In fulfillment of God’s promises, God the Son came to provide perfect rest—rest in God’s presence for all eternity in a land from which we can never be expelled. He did that by paying the penalty for my sin and living the perfect life in my place, so that his righteousness can be imputed to me through faith.
