If persecution or enmity causes you to lose property, accept it believing that you have a treasure in heaven (Luke 12:33; compare also Luke 6:20, Luke 6:23). This does not mean that you should always give up what is rightfully yours, but if you lose something through enmity toward Jesus (in situations of persecution) accept it with an attitude that shows you are focused on something heavenly.
30 Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back.
