The text pictures humanity as divided into two groups. On the one hand are the kings and the civilizations and cities known as Babylon,
and so all who find their comfort in the mother of prostitutes.
On the other hand are those who are called and chosen and faithful.
We need to note that in Revelation 13:7 the beast was allowed to conquer
the saints. But here it is the Lamb, not the saints, who conquers the beast and its allies. And with the Lamb are those whom the beast had defeated. The wonderful implication is that even in their defeat no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand
(John 10:29; Romans 8:30).
14 They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful.”
