1 Then David came to Nob to Ahimelech the priest. And Ahimelech came to meet David trembling and said to him, “Why are you alone, and no one with you?”

  • Jesus Christ is the King who remained faithful to God in all circumstances. Where we are faithless and often abandon God’s commandments when obedience becomes costly, he obeyed to the end. Through his perfect obedience he merited eternal life in God’s presence. Being a sinless man, he was also able to bear the punishment we deserve for our failures, which is what he did when he died on the cross.
