Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank you that you have not left yourself without a witness in this world, but have made yourself known through the creation and preservation of this world, and more clearly in your holy and divine Word. We thank you for this special revelation and that we have access to it. Thank you that we can learn of your love and what you have done for us in Jesus Christ by reading from your Word.
Please Father, help us to respond rightly to your Word. Without the work of your Spirit, we will respond to all of your revelation with unbelief and disobedience. May he give faith where it is not present and strengthen faith where it is. Change us so that we will not take your Word for granted but be all the more eager to listen carefully to what you say and submit to your instructions.
We thank you once again for those whom you call and send to proclaim your truth to others. Please provide us more resources as a church that we might play a bigger role in your plans and purposes. Help us also to be bold for Jesus Christ in our homes and the places where we work.
In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
