Explicit mention of Christ is made in 2 Peter 3:18. He is the one upon whom all God’s promises are centred. He is the Lord who will come to destroy evil and bring about a perfect kingdom of love, justice, righteousness, and peace. He is also the Saviour who can get sinners into that kingdom because of his perfect life and sacrificial death.
14 Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace.
