Sermon goal of Acts 2:14-36

Acts 2:14–36 (ESV)

The book of Acts recounts the spread of the early church and the manner in which Christ works to take the gospel from Jerusalem, to Samaria, and finally to the ends of the world (Acts 1:8). In your next sermon you must focus on Peter’s Pentecost sermon. It will be helpful to show church members the logic of Peter’s sermon and that he is hoping to prove to the Jews that Jesus is the Christ. Once you have done this, you should go on to show how Peter helps us to understand Old Testament prophecy, sing the psalms, and put our focus where the Spirit wants us to put our focus.
