What does Amos 3 reveal about who God the Father is?
God will punish sin. He does not allow nations nor individuals to continue in sin forever. There will come a time when he intervenes in judgment. One day God will hold all people accountable for their actions.
God is perfectly just. People will be judged according to what they know. Those who have had special revelation will be judged stricter than those who did not. The Lord does not sweep the sins of his people under the carpet. He is fair and impartial.
God reveals his plans. Amos is sent to Israel and he warns them of judgment. This warning is a testimony to the love of God—he calls his people to repentance and gives them time to repent before he sends judgment upon them.
